One of the interview questions I find the hardest is, ‘What is your biggest weakness?’ or ‘Tell me about a failure or challenging situation you faced.’ These questions are difficult because they require a careful balance between honesty and professionalism.

Talking about weaknesses or mistakes in an interview isn’t easy. There’s always the pressure to present yourself in the best light, but I’ve learned that interviewers aren’t looking for perfection. They want to see self-awareness, accountability, and the ability to learn from experience.

What makes these questions challenging is that they go beyond technical skills. They test emotional intelligence, reflection, and growth. You have to explain what went wrong, what you learned, and how you’ve improved since.

Even though I now understand their value, these types of questions are still the hardest for me, because they push you to be genuine rather than rehearsed.
